Sailing, climbing and skiing in Norway – from Bergen to the Lofoten Islands and beyond.

Skippered Yacht Charter, Sailing Holidays, guided skiing and mountaineering expeditions in Norway aboard a quality owner-skippered yacht.

A rare opportunity for high latitude sailing north of the Arctic Circle. Experience the midnight sun in the Lofoten Islands, Helgeland, the Svartisen glacier, the gigantic rock face of Nordland, the deep fiords and rocky islands of the Norwegian Coast – and all from the comfort of your new and rugged Ovni 435.

An expedition with us in northern Norway could be an ideal corporate team building event.

We can also organize bareboat charter in the area and sailing expeditions into the Arctic.

To offer more choice to our guests, New Horizon Sailing works with a few carefully selected partners giving opportunities to sail in other areas aboard quality yachts. See our “Partner” page. We set a very high standard.

Jon and his new Ovni 435 will be based at Bodø for the summer within walking distance of the airport and within easy sailing distance of the stunning islands of Lofoten, Lyngen and Helgeland.

The 2010 Programme is not yet available. The information below relates to 2009 but is retained to show the likely itineraries. For more information or to express interest please email richard@newhorizonsailing.com

Jon will be taking the yacht north from Oslo very early in the season giving the opportunity for some challenging, but low cost, sailing.

The sailing area is beautiful - with midnight sun in summer and the opportunity to go skiing, hiking, diving or just sailing. There is plenty of choice for you but we need to plan ahead to make the most of your time in an area considered by Norwegians to be their hidden jewel.

You’ll get the idea if you take a moment to look through the 2009 programme below. The words are Jon’s.
